I don’t know why, but lately I feel like everything designed in the past is better than what’s being designed nowadays.

Hmmm, I imagine there are probably many reasons for this. But perhaps one of those reasons, is that companies are always looking to cut costs. And unfortunately they don't see the value in investing in good design. Which is so unfortunate.

I’m sure of it. Things made in the past were built to last a lifetime. What they make now seems to have an expiration date. My dad has a very old sticker album, and your post reminded me of it.
