I’m Beatriz, an artist in constant search. My pieces are stories told through light and shadow, in landscapes that mirror the soul. I live between the desert and my longing for the north, between the solitude that comforts me and the connection I seek. My profile is filled with fragments of my journey, photographs that are more than images: they are emotions, moments stolen from time. If you connect with what you see, welcome. I’m here to share and to listen.

Today is one of those days where I’m just drifting through, without any sense of direction. I feel completely lost. At hospital with my father. Leaving here some nature photos to lift my spirits a bit.

Gn This is a photo I took of a breathtaking sunrise at the Covadonga Lakes in Asturias My sister and I got up super, super early to head up to the Lakes. We sat in the car, waiting for the first hint of light so we could start exploring, and then the sunrise arrived like this. One of those days you never forget.

Gm Sometimes I think about all the things that used to scare me years ago, and now they don’t affect me at all. Change is so quiet that you don’t even notice it until you look back.

Today is a tough day. My dad is currently in surgery, and I can’t help but feel restless. Time feels so slow when someone you love is going through something like this. I’m not sure if writing this here helps, but sometimes putting it into words brings a little relief. I trust that everything will go well, though fear always finds its way in. To everyone facing difficult moments, I’m sending you all a big hug. Today, I just want time to move faster and for everything to fall back into place.

Gn There’s a place you visited once that felt so special, it stayed with you. Even if you never go back, a part of you will always belong there.

I took this photo on one of the coldest days in Iceland. The wind was so strong, and the freezing temperature made it almost impossible to hold my camera. Even with gloves, my fingers went completely numb while I was trying to get the shot. By the time I finished, I couldn’t feel my hands at all. I had to run to a nearby spot with heating just to warm them up and regain some feeling. It was scary for a moment, but looking at this picture now, I know it was worth it. Sometimes, moments like these remind you just how powerful and beautiful nature can be, and how much it asks from you.

Gm Someone once told me that my photography reminded them of a memory they’d forgotten. Have you ever seen something that brought back a moment you thought was lost?
