I miss being on stage in general. Want to take up some form of stage work again. Not necessarily speaking. Don't feel like I've much to say these days vs my crypto world tours from 2015 to 2020. So, something more creative.

Besides food recs ( https://warpcast.com/simondlr/0x9bcdd21e ), my favorite part is a walk in Rock Creek Park. Museum favorites are Smithsonians and Hillwood Estate. Georgetown stroll is nice. Wharf too. Lost City Books and Kramers are great book stores. 😎

11 years ago I wondered what happens to a President’s memecoin when they do something bad. 😅. Looking forward to $TRUMP fluctuating when he invariably does something dumb.

Feel like the impact of the US TikTok ban would be better if we had healthier relationships with the platforms we own nothing of. Latest newsletter: Too Many Cameras and the US TikTok ban. https://sceneswithsimon.com/p/too-many-cameras-and-the-us-tiktok

If one would argue that complexity in modern life has increased, what data would one use to prove it?

Generally think protocol/systems designers suck at naming things. Congestion pricing usually enjoys support after the fact. Maybe they should rethink how it’s named and how it’s communicated. My latest newsletter: https://sceneswithsimon.com/p/congestion-pricing-and-making-people

Reminds me of an article I wrote on eustress in coordination. In some cases, coordination goes up the more costly it is to coordinate. https://medium.com/@simondlr/eustress-complexity-social-systems-design-blockchain-tokenization-5c3e264dc258

The (secure) inverse understands the inherent instability of communication and understands that reducing entropy requires active error corrections and recalibration. Deeper, it's learning how and when meta perceptions of the channel changes for each partner.

Insecure attachment stems from misjudged perceptions of the nature of the communication environment: sender, receiver, noise (entropy), and bandwidth.

It strikes me that much of the common relationship frameworks (like attachment theory) actually just sit on top of information theory and I'm not finding much pop psychology that treats it as such.
