finally achieved my running goal of being able to turn my brain off and run with good form! two years of work, and randomly clicked two days ago. high knees. loose upper body. good kickbacks. feels like my “running economy” is actually an economy that i can tweak and improve on instead of wholesale changes 🙌

Took me a while to "fix" my form and I think I can still improve. Hardest part was that my calves weren't ready for it at all and so injured myself with shin splints. When I run fast, it didn't hurt, so I realised what I needed to change. In general:

increase cadence, run with impact/feet underneath your body, look to horizon (not your feet), do strength training (I need a lot of upper leg strengthening: glutes, tfl, etc), and increase hip mobility. That's what helped me. :)
