Started a new newsletter on Substack. Seriously considering only using substack for distribution and linking to a site where I control publishing. I know @timdaub.eth does it like this. Trying to figure out the tradeoffs: I want to publish on my own site, but you'll also lose some distro benefits.

I’m treating the 2 as different complementary R&D properties. Blog is R, substack is D. Experimental and harder stuff goes on blog. Stuff I can crank out fairly reliably goes on Substack I think trying to use substack only for distribution is fine for free stuff but weird for paid longform since paywall would be wei
