Could you opt out later? It might get pretty boring after the heat death of the universe.

By the age of 30 young people are already alien and by 40 they’re quite annoying. Time also moves faster with age and I doubt those tendencies do anything but continue. If so then for almost all time one will be getting angrier and more alienated.

I think this question sparks another question about living forever, what is the meaning of life or doing anything at all if you can do it in anytime during your infinite lifetime? I believe that death is the factor that allows us to go out in the world and find or live according to our purpose.

Hard to say. The universe looks increasingly different, especially past the 1 trillion year mark. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_the_far_future Far enough out and even "computational" life may not be possible. More importantly, me @ 1000 is going to have VERY different priorities and values than me now.

I think there's a certain drive and passion I have for life knowing I'll die one day. Somehow, I can't see how I could live without an 'end date'?

Something we've been speaking of since the stories of Gilgamesh. The answer remains no. Quality over quantity. https://www.culture3.com/posts/gilgamesh-bryan-johnson-and-the-fountain-of-youth-do-you-want-to-live-forever-rapamycin
