#2, while true, is pretty negligible.

Definitely not negligible at all. Building muscle mass is actually a priority π

Building muscle is important, but the calories you burn throughout the day from resistance training is negligible. Literally going for a quick walk will burn more calories.

Still disagree very much with that! Your long term health is correlated with your muscle mass. A decent workout not only will burn around 500 calories that day but building muscle is a long term benefit. Absolutely more efficient than a walk. Also going for a walk post workout is great.

Dude, the video said (you, whoever) that lifting weights burns fat throughout the day. This just isn't true, at least not meaningfully. I'm specifically addressing the part in the video about post workout effects. It is in NO WAY more effective than a walk as far as calorie burn, and you are blatantly lying to people if you claim that it is.

π€£ you donβt really get it and that s ok. Iβll explain again: your muscle mass is your investment on your future self. More muscle mass means your future body will be burning more calories than your current body at ISO calorie. Thatβs just facts. Anyone who trains knows this. Walking has nothing to do with it and is still a great addition to any routine. π
