I’m very skeptical they’d be growing as fast as they are if the sales pitch was “bluesky is twitter but more politically left content moderation”

that’s why people are joining from twitter, which they now see as right wing coded due to Elon same thing with users defecting from meta “because of AI” which has become right wing coded how else do you explain that Bluesky’s user base is overwhelmingly left wing, a group that has never previously expressed much interest in decentralized anything, whether social apps or otherwise?

Because musk is manipulative, controlling, tweaking the algorithm to punish some users and promote hate speech from others. It's full of bots. It's owned by a narcissistic fascist simp. Bluesky on the other hand feels much more welcoming, less toxic, has additional features not found on twitter, isn't owned by a megalomaniac, and you don't need to be a member to view bluesky posts (unlike twitter/x). Why is it overwhelmingly left? Because the "left" is tired of disinformation, misinformation, trolling, racists, nazis, hate speech, pandering to literal fascists, etc that are all rampant on twitter. It's as clear as day to anybody with a rational thought in their head.
