For the love of all things books we NEED to convince @camirusso to write a sequel to the Infinite Machine with all the happenings since the first version! 🙏🏾

- start a @partydao - raise funds as an advance - @camirusso gets the advance if she commits to writing the sequel - she also gets a chatroom full of fans (only if she wants it 😆) - everyone who contributes gets an early copy of the book skin in the game

At first glance YES, but would have to learn more about independent book publishing, like who does the distribution? Marketing? Can we still make physical copies? Of course all this can be sorted, I just don’t have the experience since I went through trad publisher for TIM.

It’s very doable but it’s a big project to do the DAO etc approach. Might honestly be better to just crowdfund an ebook kickstarter style that @camirusso retains the rights to etc. You can do the crowdfund part via an @zora mint of a Reader’s Pass and token gate and epub or PDF.

Ah interesting. The Zora angle could make more sense. I can see logistically it could be simpler with the sale everything just goes to @camirusso instead of complicating things with a DAO. What’s your take on why not a DAO?

Once it becomes a DAO it gets thorny. Who owns what? Where do the rights lie? Who is responsible if the project fails? Who is responsible for the project management if not the author? If the DAO is intended to become a publishing house, how do you manage ongoing governance? What about legal structure? Etc
