I wonder what people generally think it is they have to do before they die. Live a happy life? Leave behind descendants? Leave a monument of art or wealth or thought? I read Seneca saying there’s really nothing you are expected to do years ago and I’ve been grappling with that since.

Love this question. For me we get to define our own parameters, and we get to change them. For me at the moment fill my home and my life with love and laughter. And no one is keeping score

Nature dictates you should father children and care for them, if you completed that goal or you're one of those that like to do things differently then it's probably just about doing what feels right to you and maybe care for others
