"This is just a tool, don't care how people use it" is sociopathic behaviour

Developers and community builders must design and build their protocols to favour positive outcomes, or they'll continue infested by scum of the earth as crypto has for the last decade

We must do a whole lot better, not turn a blind eye

Devs should embed ethical frameworks, but the culpability for using a tool falls on users, and they should be held accountable. 
But doing so is untenable, thus courts settle on devs to shoulder the sins of their users. Scapegoated. 

And regardless, 64 months is a hell of a bid. Especially when you got young children.
