Earlier this year I had the honor of appearing as a guest on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I grew up watching this show and it was surreal to appear as a guest and get to meet Stewart himself. I’ve met a number of media celebrities over the years and some of them can be disappointing but I can attest that he is a really nice and humble guy and it was a pleasure to talk to him.

The appearance was a bit bittersweet because my dad had passed away the year before and he was a huge Jon Stewart fan. I’m sure he would’ve been blown away to see me as a guest on that show. Despite him not being present physically I still felt like somehow he was there.

I am sorry for your loss. I lost my father almost a year and a half ago as well and the most poignant reminders are the things you would have loved to have been able to share with them.
