Is it just me or is the number of ads in gmail exploding? And if you delete ads, it throws more ads at you faster I think.

Might have been a good time to switch from using Gmail to native Apple Mail app as I recently did. Gmail app was becoming unusable for me independently of the ads.

Have you done the same transition for other Google/Apple equivalent apps? I’ve been on the fence about it, being unsure if I’d miss out on my decade plus of Google data lock in. 

Like my Google Maps timeline has been quite handy for remembering places I’ve gone to.

Haven’t needed to switch away from other apps since I generally like the google apps (and I use Gmail in the backend still). I’ve preferred Apple Maps for quite a while since I like the UI better. The Gmail app was a special case of being so bad it was literally unusable:
