Either FFMPEG or Gifski for compressing while maintaining quality. for ease, I use https://www.screentogif.com/ which includes both. Beats PS, and other tools I've tried. Also a great tool for recording your screen. Windows only though

A good online gif compression tool will be kraken.io, it can optimize bulk quantities of JPEG, PNG and animated GIF files while also reducing it to the lowest size. However if you’re looking for a desktop tool, then gifmicro is the way to go. This is because it has a special optimization setting. By switching to “Lossless compression mode,” you can lessen the size of your image files without sacrificing quality.

I mostly use Image Optim and the method is pretty simple just choosing a file and editing the settings as preferred. Then submit / easiest method is using after affect to maintain the quality. You will just upload and highlight unwanted frames then delete ( those are my best options that I use in my 3d work )

Two tools, I've used in past https://compress-or-die.com/ & https://ezgif.com/ . Both have intuitive UI for the job.

You can drastically reduce the size of your animated images by using Screen2GIF. Open up the editor, delete any frames that aren't needed, and just set the delay on frames that you want to keep visible for more than an instant. cut animated images to much less than 1/2 their original size. Also, I recommend saving to animated PNG or a video format, both of which Screen2GIF supports. It's also open source :)
