Went to the weird spaceship shit show bar in Milwaukee for their 6th birthday (becoming an annual tradition and we also bartended their 2nd anniversary party). Cripplingly hungover today. Fully, fully worth it. If you ever find yourself in Milwaukee go to The Mothership. It is the spot where all your dreams and nightmares come true. Also, this isn’t me in the picture. The dude getting sprayed in the face by expensive leaf blower champs is the bar owner. So yeah, good fucking time. 😅🍾🤪😉🍻

That is a giant bottle of whiskey! J/K, it’s bad photoshop. But it is also our feature for WHISKEY WEDNESDAY! Milam & Greene Triple Cask Bourbon (Blanco, TX; Bardstown, KY; Undisclosed Tennessee Distillery) Milam & Greene’s flagship offering is a Triple Cask Bourbon. Typically when I see a double or triple casked whiskey, my understanding is that it is a barrel finished whiskey. This is different. Milam & Greene is a triple cask bourbon insofar as it is a blend of straight bourbons from Kentucky, Texas & Tennessee. The KY & TX bourbons are distilled by Milam & Greene, while the TN bourbon is sourced from an undisclosed distillery. It is an artful blend of bourbons with a savory-sweet complexity that punches well above its price point. But don’t take my word for it. 🥃

Going to support some old friends for their (re)launch of this incredible Gin. Letherbee started as bathtub gin and has evolved into a well known, locally crafted gin along with other spirits. I have had the pleasure of knowing these folks for a long time, and even worked some bottling shifts for them in between jobs. Cheers!
