A bio is a first impression in a pool of limitless people to want to engage with. It's a self-filtering statement.

I'm always open to changing my mind on people but how they present themselves sets the bar.

Besides, what good is a "personal brand" if you can't even use ~100 characters to describe yourself?

I actually embrace mid; statistically everyone is collectively mid. It’s part of being a social species now bound by a mindshare via the internet. 

But for the sake of connecting with others, I think it’s worthwhile to signal what we’re trying to be less mid in and not false status symbols.

No need to dunk on people for being mid. Not everyone leans into it. I’m perfectly fine with waving that flag proudly :)
