Increasingly, I don’t think web3 is the next iteration of the web that will replace web2, but rather a fork that will run in parallel. Not a strong opinion yet but something I can’t shake. Also not sure how I feel about it if true. Thoughts?

What excites me the most is the potential for a culture shift towards building and owning our own work product and data, within thriving communities. But I also remind myself that we’re still human. And greed will continue to exist, even if It shape shifts in the way it shows up, given new social norms and contract

Yeah, us humans will give up a LOT for convenience and personal gain. Aligned around ownership being a primary value prop. That and censorship resistance are the primary offerings of web3.
