Wasted (and still wasting?) time on encrypted DMs

As a cypherpunk I love that you’re doing it

But revealed pref is no one cares and it doesn’t drive growth and someone else will eventually solve that for you. They’re not even in the protocol. Huge side quest imho

(also I wish you’d call em DMs not DCs)

in protocol encrypted dms are a moonshot goal worth shooting for imo

but agree that the simple version for start is better

may be totally wrong but if we wait long enough someone could leverage /quilibrium 's private nature to just adapt regular DM system to work there

 (PS: i know that is not 100% what it works like, but will be close enough sooner or later. Or integrate signal/tg with encrypted by default as DC app)

one can likely easily build an app where people connect warpcast/fc and telegram. Then look up the profile on that app and just move outside to have encrypted DMs (signal is encrypted by default, Telegram is not - need to toggle)

if enough people use that app, then build protocol e2e private dm to work with any client
