can "dislikes" work in farcaster? if Reaction would accept an arbitrary type of reaction as Links do, can one build a successful app client that would aggregate feeds better based not on just likes but dislikes too? for compatibility such messages can be sent via @superanon, without showing dislikes data publicly.

nah you can technically add a reaction type that can be used as dislike or downvote

aaah :D to that matter i like Link's choice of non-strict "type" field you can pretty much create any link to a user like "@dalechyn.eth codes with @samuellhuber.eth" (type: "coding") which is super cool but underexplored

wondering how @j4ck.eth and @web3pm haven't used it for icebreaker or explored at least to have attestations on hubs then

@web3pm
We considered using reactions for attestations but concluded that they are more oriented around content, whereas the attestations we care about are really more about people. That said, casts as attestations are a valid model and a reaction could be a way of "marking" a cast as an attestation. We are getting ready to turn this on this week using an explicit bot tag (with @rec). If it works well, we'll add cast action support too. The idea is to make farcaster onchain verifiable while hubs remain the source of truth for the underlying data. Here's the design. Feedback welcome! https://icebreakerlabs.notion.site/Turning-casts-into-attestations-1300a3a020a680bf8830e070a853d21d?pvs=4
