Something I learned from @fehrsam that has stuck with me constantly is not doing side quests as a founder

Time and attention is scarce, you'll get invited to endless things / opportunities as a founder but vast majority just pull you away from the most important parts of building the company so keeping focus is key

how do you differentiate between a side quest and actual opportunity? instinct?

My first go to question for myself: is this for my own ego or for the company?

- is the side quest quick? Or will you get quagmired?
- does it advance the main quest?
- can you outsource it?
- is it to support a friend or ally (which is worth sacrificing time towards the main quest)?
