We’re hiring a staff level engineer at Pinata. We’ve got a solid applicant pool but I’d love to see more female engineering candidates. Any tips on good job boards or places to post this opening that will help encourage that? cc: @adrienne @cassie

Thanks for asking the right questions. I was prev. a recruiter and scaled a co from 7-35 in yr as the first nontech hire. While your JD is posted, now is the time for cold outbound. Staff level folks don't really apply for jobs because they usually have recruiters in their dms.

Create a list of companies that are your direct and indirect competitors. Or cos that have similar tech stacks. Usually this is around 10-15 companies that are seed to series b stage, and maybe total around 150-200 profiles to look for. Around 10 of those profiles should be women. Write a custom message to them.

After that, use Linkedin recruiter (you can use one month free) and type in the top 100 female names as a boolean. Then the languages, frameworks etc. Then the location and graduation year. You should probably have a couple thousand results of women who are staff level engineers with the same tech stack.
