What do you mean by “can bend reality”? 

It's a common saying, seldom defined.

It’s subjective, but when I meet certain founders it feels like they could convince me of anything. 

And then when you work with them, you see how they convince other people. It’s like mind control. I know I sound a bit crazy, but I do know a few people like this

I don’t know. I like to believe people are mostly honest, but that isn’t always the case.

How correlated with bending reality is bending the truth?

This is not crazy at all and is regularly referred to as a "reality distortion field"
