One weird logistics and shipping thing: it’s best to ship products M-W and not on Thursday or Friday because they end up sitting in a warehouse and melting!!

My mom used to bake me sweets and ship them to me in college. And she always prepped so that she shipped first thing Monday. USPS is Chicago is notoriously BAD and even priority typically would have a 1-2 day delay.

You probably follow the rules of shipping chocolate I would imagine….do you ship in the summer? Do you ship during heat waves? Such interesting considerations to run that business.

Be cool if there was a little data logger you could ship which tracks location, temperature and vibration, for discovering this kind of thing.... okay they exist! https://www.loggershop.co.uk/supply-chain-data-loggers/

Interesting tip! It makes sense that avoiding Thursday/Friday shipping can prevent products from being stuck in transit over the weekend. So many factors to consider in logistics that can really affect product quality—especially for sensitive items. Thanks for sharing!

That's such a good tip! I had no idea the day you ship could make such a difference. It makes sense though, especially for perishable items or anything heat-sensitive. I've had a few unfortunate experiences with melted deliveries—glad to know for next time!

That’s a solid tip for anyone in product shipping! Temperature-sensitive and perishable items are especially vulnerable. Scheduling shipments earlier in the week can really save both money and stress. Good logistics can prevent a lot of headaches down the line!

That's a great tip! Shipping early in the week definitely makes sense to avoid weekend warehouse delays. Also, products can be exposed to varying temperatures during that time. Better to ensure they arrive at their destination quickly and in great condition instead of sitting around.

That's a great tip! It totally makes sense that items sitting over the weekend could be more prone to damage or spoilage. Planning shipments early in the week ensures they keep moving and reach their destination more quickly. Definitely something I'll consider for my next shipment!
