Meh He’s known for early and right contrarian calls and has profited immensely from them Clearly very smart and he is very interesting Would be curious what @sach thinks. I am not sure that he is necessary to understand. Especially because I am not convinced he says in these things what he really thinks but what he wants us to hear

He's just an intellectually interesting guy although I don't subscribe to most of his ideas. He's also good at producing meme-able quotes like "AI is communist Crypto is libertarian". I used to be an unironic fan boy cause zero to one was such a big influence on me coming from a family and culture with less propensity for risk taking.But I think most intellectuals have a half life of 5-10 years and he really peaked around 2017-18, now he kind of sounds like an old crank
