Anti corrosive Paints are applied on metallic surfaces. It is also applied on ferrous metal, cast iron and steel surfaces. Anti corrosive paints are used for preservation of structural steel work against acid fumes and adverse weather conditions. It protects the metal components against degradation due to moisture, salt spray, oxidation or exposure to various weather conditions and industrial chemicals. In houses, they are used for painting steel roof trusses or M.S. railings for staircases, door frames, balconies, window grills, compound gates and so on.

Satin Paint: The overall reflective nature of the paint is impacted by its finish. Flat paint is the least reflective, and gloss is the most reflective. Satin paint falls in the middle. Two bonus attributes of satin paint are its durability and its ability to be cleaned gently. Things to note with satin paint are that when choosing between oil-based and water-based paint, there are pros and cons. Oil-based paint will harden faster and generally provide better coverage on your walls. The downside is the long-lasting smell; it can take a while for the fresh paint smell to disperse. Water-based paints are more durable and will take longer to yellow. The downside is that it takes longer to get the same coverage as oil-based paint provides. Satin paint is best used for surfaces with a low impact, such as door casings, doors, windowsills, and trim

Born in Florence in 1760 to an English father and an Italian mother, Maria Cosway (née Hadfield) narrowly escaped becoming the fifth victim of her family’s murderous nursemaid, who was later imprisoned. Showing natural artistic talents from a young age, she studied under the artists Violante Cerroti and Johann Zoffany in Florence and Pompeo Batoni in Rome. Shortly after moving to London in her late teens, Cosway debuted her work at the Royal Academy of Arts in 1781 and, over the following two decades, would exhibit some 30 more paintings. She gained critical acclaim for her inventive mythological scenes like Georgiana as Cynthia from Spenser’s “Faerie Queene,” a portrait of Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire.

Writing and drawing with graphite pencils The hardness grades B, HB and F are the most relaxed. The soft B pencils are ideal for children who are just learning to write. With soft and especially thick graphite pencils beginners can write very easily. Anyone with more experience in writing and drawing will usually choose a pencil with the medium degree of hardness HB; some feel most comfortable with the degree of hardness F. People who want to express themselves artistically use soft pencils of hardness grades 2B to 8B. You can make expressive drawings with them, which are very rich in contrast. Hard pencils are good for technical drawing. They are excellent with hardness grades H, 2H to 6H. Because they do not lubricate, you can work with them very accurately. Their lines are more grey than black. Do not impress them on too much, otherwise the pen will dig pressure marks into the paper.

Are Oil Paintings a Good Investment? Many of the world’s most famous paintings are made using oil paints and have lasted several hundred years in good condition. Quality artworks like these oil paintings are certainly a good investment. Artworks in general, are usually part of a well-rounded and diverse investment portfolio. Artworks should be enjoyed first and foremost, as investing in art is often a long-term strategy.

The Sortie Made by the Garrison of Gibraltar(also called The Sortie made by the Garrison of Gibraltar in the Morning of the 27 of November 1781[1]) is a 1789 oil-on-canvas painting by American artist John Trumbull. The painting shows a key point in Gibraltar's history when the Great Siege of Gibraltar was undertaken by the Spanish against the British at Gibraltar in November 1781.[2] The Spanish officer Don Jose de Barboza is being given respect as he lies dying. Although left behind by his own retreating troops, he still unsuccessfully attacked the British troops with chivalry.[2]

Business Plan vs Investment Proposal While a business plan and an investment proposal may share certain components, their core differences lie in their purpose and audience. A business plan is a detailed documentation of your business idea, target market, financial projections and growth strategy. Its purpose is to clarify your ideas and flesh out your concept. You can use your business plan to gain partners or seek a license. Your investment proposal, however, aims to secure funding from potential investors. Every section here is written to convince them why investing in your company will be a good decision.

René François Ghislain Magritte (1898 – 1967): René Magritte was a Belgian-born artist who was known for his work with surrealism as well as his thought-provoking images. After attending art school in Brussels, he worked in commercial advertising to support himself while he experimented with his painting. In the 1920s, he began to paint in the surrealist style and became known for his witty images and his use of simple graphics and everyday objects, giving new meanings to familiar things. With a popularity that increased over time, Magritte was able to pursue his art full-time and was celebrated in several international exhibitions. He experimented with numerous styles and forms during his life and was a primary influence on the pop art movement.

Assemblage is the three-dimensional sibling of collage. Instead of pieces of paper, it combined numerous found objects of varying sizes and purposes. The final result of the assemblage often had nothing to do with the original functions of the elements involved. Assemblage was a popular technique among the Surrealists. Particularly, the work Object (Breakfast in Fur) by the Swiss artist Meret Oppenheim combined a porcelain tea set with gazelle fur, effectively turning both substances useless for their primary functions. This juxtaposition allowed Oppenheim to explore the concept of concealed animal impulses of humankind. The piece was also interpreted as a critique of the attributes of conventional respectable femininity, with fur and tea sets read as symbols of the highest status.
