Thanks Tim. I think you are correct in both aspects. The book is a pretty humbling experience that would be beneficial for most artists, especially when using todays generative AI tools.

Great share, Ryan. Absolute classic. I believe Youngblood coined the term for the whole art movement, right? Such an important concept of freeing a medium from its boundaries, might have had an impact of bringing computer generated images and art to a wider audience

I'm not sure I can answer that question. It's hard to say, but what I can say is that the book is like putting on a pair of glasses when you didn't know your eyesight was bad.

that’s something i love about watching old movies. they are a snapshot of the state-of-the-art technology that humans had in that moment
