Ok, what did everyone think of the @bankless episode with @justindrake this week? Will this fix Ethereum's L2 fragmentation problem...do you have better ideas? https://www.bankless.com/fragmentation

Really good. But there’s a lot in there. Might have to watch it again. Justin always makes me bullish Ethereum. Now he’s got me thinking about shared sequencing and how much of a game changer it can be for crypto UX.

Great episode. Easy to get caught up in the current narratives. It’s good to learn that core devs are aware that fragmentation is a problem, and that there is a fix on the horizon, however distant. Seems like fragmentation undermines Ethereum’s network effects and so a shared sequencer should be a high priority.

Would be interesting to have him on the pod again with some of the gigabrains at Polygon. Unpacking aggregation architectures would be useful, and getting some discussion on the tradeoffs in direction.

Great episode, though it felt like “Universal Synchronous Composability” is still a few years off. Would’ve liked to hear more about what sort of front end UX things could be employed to bridge the gap in the meantime

Great episode. It would be great to understand all the EIPs required to get to the end goal visualized in Vitalik’s roadmap view

It was one of those core episodes that will be remembered as a required learning episode. @justindrake always knocks it out of the park. … still not better than the Lynn Alden debate episode. That is peak Justin.

I’ll listen to any episode with Justin Drake. That said, I’m 2/3 of the way through because my poor brain would melt if I consumed 2 hours of his smarts at one time. I like these deep technical dives. Confession: I also like the number-go-up episodes too.

It's honestly a lot to digest (but it's good). Maybe consider getting someone on the team to synthesize the long and complex episodes down into a Bankless article? Mostly as a summary so that it's easily read or have extra references/links. Timestamps would be a nice bonus.

Sense. This one is a listen twice. I always enjoy eps with core researchers. And yes, the grand experimentation from flat scaling is going to pay dividends over the long term.
