Most social media runs on attention algorithms. This turns creators into entertainers. I’d love to see Farcaster adopt algorithms that surface truth. Turn creators into journalists. The reality market is underserved. The big opportunity is beyond the crypto niche. Make Farcaster a truth engine.

Thing is, truth in the relative world is a subjective thing.

There are reality based fields like: - science - law - journalism We have reality based technology, like markets. We also have seen glimpses of truth-finding algorithms, like community notes. We don't need perfection. Our information pipeline is so bad, small improvements could make a huge difference.

When we have mechanisms with built in hardness for tying "truth" to the parties who originate the claim, rather than trying to bulldoze all "reality" to conform to a government's narrative or platform owner's, then perhaps we can get closer to a more uplifting internet.

there have been discussions about farcaster community notes in the past, no client has implemented something yet. Also with the wallet information, casts and things like bountycaster I am hyped for someone to build an elo rating. imagine next to your name having an elo rating where you know high elo is trust worthy

Really saw a shift as x promoted videos and downranked posts with links > creating extra steps in sharing info. On a small scale, bounties for engagement might stoke the fires a bit… imagine featured casts with original casters rewarding “most thoughtful” responses. Pay the bounties with warps or even $Degen…
