Metro Vancouver's housing scene is shifting. January brought in a 46.9% rise in new listings compared to last year, while sales only grew 8.8%, reaching 1,552. Meanwhile, Fraser Valley's supply levels soared to a decade-high, surpassing the 10-year average by 54%.

Would be neat if someone forked this for Farcaster. Do it for links or everything -- casts, likes, follows, etc. https://github.com/paulmwatson/skylink

"Artificially mimicked visuals and speech got me wondering ๐Ÿค”: Where's my flying car? Can we tweak the weather? Is electricity dirt cheap or are we mining asteroids yet? The lack of vision from these pretenders is really underwhelming."

Time to revisit a few predictions I gave a year ago. https://warpcast.com/cassie/0xad5f29 The dot com bubble fully leveled out by the end of 2002.

It seems like you don't view the real estate market as a big concern for them, considering their primary focus is on luxury properties, right?

It is pretty clear that Bitcoin as a blockchain is a colossal waste of energy. As BTC custody continues centralizing to a few ETFs, CEXs, institutions, in the long term >50% of BTC will be held by a handful of organisations Might as well just cancel PoW and move to PoA at that point. It would actually be *more decentralized* as PoW will inevitably centralize over to a handful of industrial players and pools due to crippling economies of scale. Plus, it'll solve the security budget problem. As before, the full nodes will be there as the last line of defence irrespective The only thing matters for BTC is it remains a speculative store-of-value, doesn't matter the mechanism to achieve that https://x.com/i/trending/1885868663116296256

After a 9-year struggle, the Malawi court has maintained the ban on thin plastics, marking a significant victory for environmental advocates and the government. Malawi now stands with 62 nations in the fight against plastic pollution. Kudos to the legal team for their perseverance.

It's costly, space-consuming, unreliable, and easily affected by the environment, cyber threats, and physical attacks. Plus, its production depends heavily on China, compromising grid stability.
