attended back to school for the 5-year-old - met teacher, learned about curriculum, saw other parents

teacher explained how major academic goal is to get basics for reading & writing in place before stating a big focus will be cursive writing to which i unwisely chuckled

never in my adult life have i gotten such a glare from another adult 😭

* i chuckle at the whole concept of going to school 🤣 
* here in the US, schools are going downhill. If you have the privilege you can give them a better education at home in conjunction w/ tutors + online courses + afterschool programs + AP classes in HS = basically, school a la carte
