This one I'm particularly curious about with Mentions being rated so highly. I know on X that tagging a bunch of people was generally seen as annoying and spammy, so is it really something that the new system will reward and encourage? https://warpcast.com/tomik8/0xab075bbc

Thanks for sharing that documentation! I think that what constitutes a "mention" is what's still unclear. Is that an explicit tag or just a reply to a post/reply you made. There is a "mentions" tab on our notifications in WC that seems to collect any direct replies.

Ok, then I still feel like it's odd. We were all "trained" on the other app that tagging a lot of people in a post was bot behavior and penalizing. It seems odd that it would be so highly encouraged with that weighting in this system. So is the strategy to get everyone to tag you for the biggest rank pump?

There's different strategies for ranking, this one is the "engagement" strategy and it attempts to measure... well, engagement. A mention is a valid, strong form of engagement in the algo developers eyes, but yes, people will start gaming it, and then the Degen team will take steps to deal with that...
