I like having limited choices - it makes me feel like I’m in control of my choices. Allows me to evaluate my options Its like diners in nyc - why is there an entire page dedicated to omlettes, how can one ever feel like they could make any sort of informed decision? Limited choices makes me feel better

this is why i keep saying perfect competition is good for price but not necessarily good for consumers they don't want to have to pick between 1000 things

They won’t pick b/w 1000 things. They’ll pick b/w the top few and the rest won’t survive See browsers or email clients

agreed, this is why ranking is so important (and search in general). as cost of producing software and goods in general gets lower, i think personal assistant AI is going to take off exponentially

My ram can’t fit a 1000 things from a category of products (email clients, browsers, search engines, computers etc) I can fit a few things though
