I was targeted in a wallet drainer scam last night. I lost all my $DEGEN and wanted to share my experience and what I learned to help our community protect itself. I think it's going to get more dangerous as $DEGEN becomes more popular, so I hope this is informative!

I got those emails but I never opened them because I didn't have anything to claim! (real blockfi keeps sending me those even though my accounts balance was <$1)

best way I've found around this is to have a hot wallet that only has throwaway $$ at any time. I've been scammed once but  lost <$100

separate wallets result in much better peace of imo mind because its so easy to slip up on links, etc. 

so the ideal security is the one that allows for such slipups. the work, in this case, is to transfer anything valuable out

agree with you here. got drained once and since then i've been real careful to have separate wallets for touching different experiences.
