most summers I travel for a few months just with my laptop and think the same - "eh, this isn't too bad" 

then I get back home to my desk and am like "wtf this is so much better"

Haha I'm kind of the opposite where I've been nomading for 4 years with just the laptop and now that I settled and have a monitor and external keyboard, I still mostly default to using just my laptop

If you use the same setup everywhere you feel like everywhere is your desk though.
