i sorta wrote this as a quick sloppy intro for Friday's post to make another point 

but i wanted to see what people thought about the general premise of "backend of society" sentence part. 

is it worth noodling on more? is there a better framing?

if the internet can be considered  backend of present society, then crypto can be considered backend of future society 

if smartphones can be considered the frontend to mainstream internet, AI might be the frontend to mainstream crypto

i like this analogy of past tech and just showing that this frontend / backend isn't a new concept, we've all lived through it.

also make it easier for the reader to understand the framework quickly
