This makes me sad though I don’t disagree that the only consumer crypto companies that have found ~PMF appeal to greed

Hoping that apps can find better use cases for such powerful onchain tech because it’s pretty cool and would be sad to see it wasted on a casino

If successful consumer products appeal to a ”deadly sin”, why should we look at “greed” in more negative light than the rest?

Are envy (instagram) or lust (ig/OF) better sins to appeal to?

“Make money” as a baseline motivation seems pretty darn good …

i really appreciate this frame. i do think many reflexively assume greed is bad, but i agree they are all sins after all.

i’m interested in describing the advantages of the technology accurately when it comes to building consumer products — for the sake of knowing where and how to spend my time.
