This makes me sad though I don’t disagree that the only consumer crypto companies that have found ~PMF appeal to greed Hoping that apps can find better use cases for such powerful onchain tech because it’s pretty cool and would be sad to see it wasted on a casino Long live the computer

lots of unexplored consumer potential in the permissionless interopability that crypto enables I agree that greed has driven basically all of crypto products to date but I don't think that will always be the case I want to see more crypto products that treat financialization as a secondary feature rather than the primary feature. I consider Farcaster to be in his category

true that most apps with huge volume (PMF) are in that category, but i don't agree that everyone is building in that vertical, here are some apps that might achieve that mainstream level without building a casino: https://warpcast.com/tomu.eth/0x27d36890

financialization of most things, being able to own most things, it feels awkward at first - until we realize that this value has simply flown over us to big tech, big banks, etc for decades

it’s 1998 and in consumer Internet buying and squatting .coms and shifting pornography is the clear PMF for this new technology, so let’s double down would love to see founders strive for more worthwhile ideals over local optima
