This makes me sad though I don’t disagree that the only consumer crypto companies that have found ~PMF appeal to greed

Hoping that apps can find better use cases for such powerful onchain tech because it’s pretty cool and would be sad to see it wasted on a casino

Make something people want to be a part of

Not saying those apps can’t exist, makes sense to me why they do

I just find them uninspiring and think they’re a net negative for an industry that already suffers from poor public perception (and therefore adoption)

I think the composability and programmability of blockchains are really interesting, excited to see more apps lean into those aspects rather than just trying to financialize everything

If successful consumer products appeal to a ”deadly sin”, why should we look at “greed” in more negative light than the rest?

Are envy (instagram) or lust (ig/OF) better sins to appeal to?

“Make money” as a baseline motivation seems pretty darn good …
