imo buying an S tier .com for your startup for $1.8m is great if you can afford it

contrarian, wins the battle for attention, can be sold for cash if needed

will not get you to pmf on it's own but it's not as stupid as some people make it to be

its on a payment plan so not as risky as it seems. co will either raise more money before they pay it all or go under.

however its hard to sell in practice bc company email and backlinks all go to that url. so its not the kind of thing you can sell to keep the co afloat in an emergency.
