Has anyone been reading up on EigenLayer? I want to be optimistic but it feels like a mistake given the current state of crypto with regulators. Any thoughts?

The “problem” is that web3 doesn’t have protocol level rehypothecation. I wouldn’t call it a real world problem but they get to be the first to solve it.

Rehypothecation sounds like exactly the kind of problem web3 solves

Fair enough. IMO staking ought be simple and direct, but hey - crypto is about building whatever tf you want.
