Eh it’s not really that Americans don’t want the jobs. Construction companies don’t want to pay minimum wage plus workers comp that American workers get. It’s a lot cheaper to pay illegals below minimum wage, so construction companies will choose illegal immigrants over Americans. While I think a lot of the deportations are fucked, I think it’s also fucked that companies take advantage of immigrants trying to make a better life for themselves and their families. They should be paid at least minimum wage and get the same workers comp coverage as Americans.
