A 1 bedroom in Toronto costs about $750k average, so you’d need to make at least $187k a year to afford something like that 😵

I hear you. I would struggle buying real estate in my own neighborhood now, much less if it was as a first time buyer again. Homeowners Insurance costs + high storm deductibles from 2 hurricane hits in the past 3 years have been weighing me down. But those costs also drive rentals higher too so…
