Of the several other options I am in, I prefer Geneva Homes and Clubhouse Houses. Geneva has more formats/features built in, but CH is rolling out new features every week. Both have some version of token-gating as well.

Looks like they are web2, so what are the advantages over discourse, other than UI? They are still centrally controlled, could collect data, censor, shut down, not opensource etc? I am having trouble seeing why this would be better than discourse?

A home on Geneva is very similar to a server on Discord. The feature set to me is way above other platforms - forums, posts, chat, audio, video, broadcast style. They have most everything you need in one. Gating features, onboarding questions and surveys, the option to add discovery in feed. All with no code needed.

But the biggest differentiator to me is the market of users. Gen Z women are top users of the platform, so I wouldn’t sleep on it.
