I tried farcaster/warpcast for a bit earlier this year but didn’t really get into it. I get the sense that I didn’t figure out channels and frames that well

What’s the best way to use this app?

Find and follow people you know from Twitter and elsewhere.
Post interesting things on your main feed.
Follow people you find interesting.
Eventually, join channels you're invited to or interested in.

You don't have to use channels  to be seen, beforehand the algo really emphasized casting in channels. Now you can use it like Twitter. I personally like longer casts because of the higher character limit: something you can't do on Twitter without paying.

frames are getting better but channels have been more restricted then they were earlier this year
