The contract here is a sublinear staking contract: if you are in the whitelist (specified as an ERC1155 collection), then you can stake N coins, and get a return of N ** 0.75 coins per slot, for as long as the contract has coins to pay for it. There is a fundedUntil mechanism that ensures that if the contract runs out of money, every staker gets rewarded for every slot up to the fundedUntil timestamp, and the mechanism doesn't turn into a fractional reserve.

Also people are allowed to exit — that's the whole point of investing! I hate when people try to make others feel bad for selling just because they round-tripped something. Taking profits is a responsible thing to do and is a natural part of an asset's lifecycle: one person sells, another one buys.

I agree partially.

We can build all the developer legos in the world. Transaction UX that is buttery smooth. Decentralized channels. Better SIWF. Distribution “plumbing” that is 10/10. 

But ultimately the # of daily active users with a funded wallet is what will drive developer adoption. So need to figure that out.

dreamcoin

So here's a funny one. 

6 months ago I was messing around and really liked the concept and term 'dreamcoins.' Thought maybe I'd do something with it so I registered the /dreamcoin channel and then moved on. 

Realized I still owned the channel this afternoon and reached out to the @dreamcoins account to see if they wanted to work something out but they are content to let me keep it so, well, I uploaded some graphics to the page but don't really plan on doing much more than that. 

Just to clarify I don't have anything to do with the project or token or anything like that other than possibly making an inspiring post 6 months ago. If the project catches on maybe someone else would want to mod the channel or something.
