Also people are allowed to exit — that's the whole point of investing! I hate when people try to make others feel bad for selling just because they round-tripped something. Taking profits is a responsible thing to do and is a natural part of an asset's lifecycle: one person sells, another one buys.

It's all just a numbers game of arbitrage. Lots of this gets automated, sometimes to extreme amounts.

If you can guarantee 0.1% profits 100% of the time, you just have to do it 10000 times to come up 10x on your initial (not counting for gas).

Though most of the human activity is just quickly reallocating funds to a stickier coin. It's all just monetized attention after all.

Taking profits is good! I'm talking about people who buy in, price goes down a little, and they immediately panic sell. Or ones who make a tiny profit and then just nuke the chart.

If you’re expecting to just buy and hold a newly created memecoin and not get dumped on if you don’t watch it like a hawk you’re not up to date on the state of things. 

To be clear, I’m not talking about getting dumped on by devs, that’s a whole other thing. I’m talking about traders. They’re cutthroat.

If you want to buy and hold, pick a higher market cap coin, like $50M+ and sit on it.
