what? i'm so confused by this. I specifically don't ask them to do it because I expect them to do it pro-actively.

it takes 5min to 10min. If you have to apply to only 90 companies but do that... you probably increase your chances by multiple factors.

You gotta remember that these are also people trying to find a job. 

You may be one person talking to 100s of potential hires.

They may be one person talking to 100s of companies.

It’s not an excuse, so much as an understanding of why they may not have had the opportunity to use your product yet.
