traditionally the big issue w/ nextjs is deployment, like you really need Vercel unless you jumped thru hoops. It's probably gotten better but I haven't confirmed. I mean my nextjs app from a few months ago runs just fine on cloudflare, so I imagine things have gotten considerably better. Sometimes peeps do unnecessary things 🤷
