I have now used superhuman for 6 months and still don’t know what it does better than vanilla gmail. Particularly true on mobile

I loved inbox dearly, will check shortwave

I've never used superhuman but really like Shortwave. I was a big fan of Inbox and Shortwave has many of the features that I loved about Inbox plus nice AI integration.

I don't like going back to vanilla gmail, it was already hard after Inbox was cancelled and I never recovered.

I use the google shortcuts and can do everything by keyboard (and I do!)

Which are missing?

What I think is that when it came out, superhuman had these and gmail didn’t, but gmail has parity now and looks nicer

once you get the key bindings, you can completely process your email inbox without ever leaving the keyboard (desktop)

on mobile it's a lot closer, but being able to do some offline work is pretty neat

Same. Unclear what the unique value prop is.

Some people love it, I’m with you though. I’m already pretty organized and close to inbox zero. And everyday I can clear it out quick. Maybe I need more email? 🤷‍♂️ maybe it’s for certain types of email users

Have you tried Hey.com? Many clear differences and benefits over Gmail.

Probably has something to do with the fact that it works just as well, but isn't vanilla gmail. 😂
