I'll be campaigning to get as many leftists as possible voting for Jill Stein. I definitely would not support Kamala but more because the Dems are die-hard imperialist warmongers and not just because she was a prosecutor (though that is also bad).

Why should we collaborate with the dnc, every 2 years the dnc says this is the most important election of our lives, we must rally around this moderate candidate and keep this tragedy from happening, and progressives do then get fucked. I don't even agree with the dnc platform, i just want people to have rights( which I don't trust the dnc not to fuck over other groups because they have time and time again while doing the bare minimum to say they are progressive) on a global scale Biden would be center right at best

Bernie and Warren had massive roles in setting the agenda of Biden’s first term. This how “build back better” took shape and then eventually became IRA etc… So I don’t think it’s quite as simple as the progressives getting fucked but I do understand the sentiment… particularly around the dnc and Bernie in 2016.

I hear all of this. I am definitely a pragmatist as opposed to a purest. I wouldn’t describe myself as a centrist but I think a pragmatist could read that way without knowing what’s actually in their hearts and minds. It all comes down to the tradeoffs being made from my POV. For me right now… it is extremely important Trump and the administration he would install is not returned to power.
